Growing up too fast

Amelia was in need of some Mom time so when I asked her what she wanted to do she told me she wanted to sew.
She wanted a new purse... a nice purse.
And a wallet too... because she has money now ya know.

So we set out to make a purse and a wallet... she tended the embroidery machine and changed all the thread. Did all the ironing and any of the sewing she was capable of, which was a fair amount these days. She can sew a straight line now, I was a proud mama.

We won't even discuss all the things that didn't go as planned... because really that part doesn't matter.
