Day 2 and 3

Day 2 went OK we went to a Homeschooling Science fair and the kids left really excited to do experiments on their own. The girls made some “slime” that kept them entertained for most of the afternoon. We didn’t get anything done by way of schoolwork but the experience was good. I really need to crack down and buy some curriculum because they want to do the work. I think I’m going to buy the math u see program to get them going and we’re going to start the reading lessons next week. That should help them. We’re also doing a unit study on the ocean. We’re researching and writing papers/stories and the kids are making a giant mural on the wall. We also rented every DVD on the ocean we could find through the library and netflix. I’ll have to take a picture of our work when we get finished.
