My baby is SIX!!!!

How can it have been six whole years since she was born?? She is so full of life and spunk. I couldn't imagine my life without this little firecracker!



She celebrated with a movie (Frozen) and an all you can eat lunch at the Golden Corral with a friend.



I'll be honest... it was an all you can eat dessert...



Then a couple days later she lost her first tooth!! She's growing up too fast, but she's so much fun I'll allow it.

Annabelle turned four this week.... I can't believe my baby is FOUR. Sniffle,sniffle. She is such a little ray of sunshine, I am so blessed to have her!

Happy Third Birthday Annabelle!!

Can you believe it? My little baby is THREE! I'm not sure how that happened or how I feel about it. I go from feeling overjoyed that the baby phase of my life is passing to downright depressed that I'll never have another baby. What is that? One minute I can't imagine another and the next I can't imagine not having another.
The curse of hormones? Insanity? Regardless Annabelle will most likely be my last so my baby is not really a baby anymore.
She is growing up so quickly I can barely keep up. She is probably the busiest little girl I've ever met and sweet as pie. When she's doing something she shouldn't be ( which is often) she likes to tell you " Mom I'm the baby". Don't know why she thinks that will work ;). Did I mention she's smart.
I can't wait to see what the coming years bring for my little firecracker.

Since I made the other post prematurely I'm adding pictures from her actual birthday now.

This year I sewed most of her presents because that's what she wanted since usually she gets stuck with mostly hand me downs. The only other thing she asked for was flowers.

We went to the Botanical Gardens in the morning, I'll share more pics from that later but here's a few of the birthday girl.

Happy Birthday Sweet Avery!

Avery is turning 4 this week. How bittersweet that is. Four is when they cease to be babies and start becoming little girls, and what a sweet little girl she is. We spent this past week doing Cinderella and she is the CUTEST little buzzy bee in the whole wide world. She spent all week buzzing ( quite literally) around telling everyone she was a bee and she was going to STING them!! Avery is such a gentle little girl. She doesn't talk much to other people but at home she is the most talkative little thing, and boy does she have the cutest little voice in the world. When she looks at me with those big eyes and talks in that precious little voice there's not much she can't get from me.

Avery growing up is hardest for me. She was the baby I was closest to. The one who didn't ever leave my side, who was in no hurry to grow up. She nursed the longest, walked the latest and is still content to sit on my lap for hours on end if I would let her. I will forever cherish the time she was little. Here she is in her brand new mama made birthday dress.

Happy Rainbow Birthday Annabelle!!

Our happy little Tornado is 2 now.

What can I say about Annabelle. When I was trying to decide what I wanted to make Anna for a birthday outfit I saw a picture of a Rainbow outfit and realized it was perfect.
Anna is our Rainbow. Full of vibrant energy and always bringing color and excitement into our days. She is always ready for the next adventure. Confident and strong I have no doubt our lives will be drastically different because she is a part of it. I am so thankful Heavenly Father put Anna into our family and I can't wait to get to know her better as she grows.

I'm not sure there are appropriate words to describe this wonderful sweet girl.....

First let me just say Heavenly Father made her the oldest of 4 girls for a reason. She was born to take care of people. She is the most naturally maternal, kind hearted person I've ever met in my life. I honestly would be lost without her help with all the little girls.
Also I'll admit compassion and patience aren't always my strong point and those are the areas where she really shines. She is a joy to be around.

Happy Birthday Audrey!

Our Sweet Audrey turned 5 the day after Christmas. I don't know if I've ever seen her as happy as she was on her birthday. She was just glowing all day long and for the first time enjoying some attention... well until they sang to her at the restaurant at dinner, that was more than she could handle.
Audrey is such a special sweet spirit, it's hard to believe she is getting so old. Her big bright eyes and her sweet sly smile make her seem younger to me. She will always be a sweet gentle spirit I think, reminding us all to slow down and show each other some love.

Double Late Birthday Post

I’m hanging my head in shame… I didn’t post for not one but TWO of my sweet childrens birthdays. Peyton turned 8 on October 1st and Weylin turned 13 on November 2nd.
Both of these are big birthdays for my boys. Peyton is now old enough to be baptized which he will be doing as soon as Weylin gets back, and Weylin is a TEENAGER!! How in the world did that happen?? People always tell you how fast they grow up, and when you have toddlers it’s just plain hard to grasp. But now I can tell you… they grow up too fast!
Luckily they are both fantastic young men. I could not ask for better boys.
Peyton is caring and loving. He’s full of adventure and will never turn down an opportunity to have fun. If it weren’t for him our house would be a much duller place. I have found out recently he loves to be put in charge. For a kid who shrinks from responsibility like hot coals it’s quite amazing. Give him something he feels is important and he will rise to the occasion beautifully.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful boy.

Weylin is growing up to be such a mature and responsible young man. He is away at his Mom's this month and I cannot tell you how much I miss him. He has gotten to an age where I find I really miss having someone with mature ideas and concepts to talk to all day. Besides none of the other kids gets sarcasm yet so they don't get my humor like he does. It's nice to have a child old enough to share jokes with.
Not to mention how helpful he has become. I find myself always behind when he is gone... he is truly as helpful as having another adult in the house.
I am so proud of the young man he is, he is always looking for ways he can contribute in church and befriends the other young men who need it most. He is intuitive, perceptive, compassionate and giving. I am so thankful for the opportunity I have been given to call him my son.
